Frieda Balster - Intern
Grundy Light Entertainment GmbH - Hürth
"Starting an internship at GRUNDY Light Entertainment my intention was to get a short insight into the Media Business. In the Casting Team of the German production ‘Herzblatt’ I could experience the different work areas of a television production. After the first six months I got the opportuntity to pass an additional internship in the editorial department of ‘Geht’s noch?’. During this time I had the full responsibility for the placing and the support of the extras. This job was a really big challenge for me which was stressful at some points but interesting and exciting at every time.
The various impressions and the wide range of experiences I made during this time, brought me on my further way in the media business. The team spirit I felt and the support of my colleagues I could benefit from make me say that my start at GRUNDY Light Entertainment GmbH was the best decision I could have taken. From June 2003 I will become Assistant at ‘Star Research’ at Berlin."

Leila Hamadeh - Strategy Executive
Talkback Thames - London
I started working for FremantleMedia almost three years ago as part of their first Graduate Training Scheme. For a year and a half I moved around the company, allowing me to gain some very broad experience over three different placements, from working with management consultants on a global procurement exercise to researching on a dating show for Channel 4! After completing stints in both the Strategy department and in Worldwide Licensing, I moved on to production at Talkback Thames, where I have since stayed on and settled into a role where I am working for the CEO on a variety of projects. It’s great that I now have the chance to use my analytical skills within a creative environment and I’ve found that my experience of different parts of the company has really helped me gain a clear understanding of how departments all over the world fit together.
